The Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) racks from Micronic are based on the globally recognized ANSI/SLAS standards for storage racks, featuring a laser-etched 1D rack barcode on one side of the rack (standard), a laser-etched 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom of the rack (optional) and a ’twist-lock’ design to prevent tubes from turning during screw cap (de)capping. These racks are compatible with the leading sample storage automation systems.
Product features
The ULT racks are manufactured from polycarbonate, which has excellent properties for low temperatures (vapor phase LN2).
The Micronic ULT racks in 96-well format can hold 96 individual sample storage tubes in the following sizes: 0.30ml, 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 1.10ml, and 1.40ml.
The Micronic ULT racks are made standard available with a laser-etched 1D rack barcode on the side and a unique laser-etched alphanumeric coding on top. The 2D Data-Matrix code on the bottom of the rack is optional for the 96-1, 96-Q1, 96-2, 96-3 and 96-4 rack.
The Micronic ULT racks are compatible with the Micronic single tube and full rack readers.

- Micronic 96-3 rack tube compatibility 1.10ml internally threaded tubes with TPE push caps / low profile screw caps or screw caps and 0.80ml externally threaded tubes with screw caps
- Micronic 96-4 rack tube compatibility 1.40ml internally threaded tubes with TPE push caps / low profile screw caps or screw caps and 1.40ml externally threaded tubes (Hybrid) with screw caps
- Micronic 96-5 rack tube compatibility 2.00ml internally threaded tubes with TPE push caps / low profile screw caps or screw caps and 2.00ml externally threaded tubes with screw caps
- Open rack bottom
- Available sterile, gamma radiated, (15 kGy avg.) or Et0 treated
- Available with customized 1D rack barcode
